Fly Fusion Cracks U.S. Market
Fly Fusion, a quarterly fly fishing magazine published out of Calgary, Alberta, has just established two new all-time benchmarks for newsstand performance in the highly crowded and competitive U.S. market. This is an accomplishment few Canadian magazines can claim.

Published by the Bird Marketing Group, this perfect-bound, glossy gem retails for $7.99…a premium-priced product aimed at the high-end, purist market, and focused on instructional advice.

The Fall 2012 issue—Mastering Presentation—sold 90% more copies than the same issue last year, a best-ever performance for this time slot. Plus, sell-through efficiency improved too!

The Summer 2012 issue—Targeting Trout—also established a new high-water mark for this time slot, with sales improving 48% from the prior year’s issue.

In addition, Fly Fusion is now ranked No. 3 at Barnes & Noble in the fishing category, which includes fresh water, salt water and all species of fish…an incredible accomplishment for a quarterly magazine, since the rankings are based on retail dollars generated!

Sue Keavney, at Coast to Coast, is the account executive on the title. Scott Bullock, of CoversSell.com is the newsstand director.
