Neil Graham has taken over the editorship at
Cycle Canada magazine from
Costa Mizouris, who was let go in February. Graham has been with the LC Media Inc.-owned, Montreal-based magazine for five years, most recently as features editor. “We…want to strengthen
Cycle Canada’s position as the definitive motorcycle magazine in the country with a fresh commitment to rigorous journalism and feature stories,” the new editor writes in his first editorial. Graham will also continue as editor of
Scooter Canada magazine.
Arash Mohtashami-Maali will
become head of the writing and publishing section at the
Canada Council for the Arts, which provides support for literary and cultural magazines, on April 20. He replaces
Melanie Rutledge, who left the position three months ago. Mohtashami-Maali
is the director of
Liasons, a French language literary magazine based in Ottawa, and Éditions L’Interligne.
Vic Tesolin has replaced
Carl Duguay as editor of
Canadian Woodworking magazine. Tesolin is also a resident craftsman at Rosewood Studio in Almonte, Ont., where he specializes in studio furniture.
Finally,
Frevisse Dearsley-Hitchcock has been promoted to managing editor at
Redan Publishing Inc., a multi-national magazine company specializing in children’s titles, with offices in Burlington, Ont., and South Plainfield, New Jersey. Dearsley-Hitchcok has been with Redan since 1995.
