New mag Crackyl launches

A new quarterly for firefighters has recently launched.

Crackyl, named for the crackling sound of fires that firefighters are too familiar with, will focus on lifestyle and health issues that are important to firefighters and those who share their lives. Content will span from health to finance, relationships to stress management, and fitness.

The brand is the brainchild of Kory Pearn, a career firefighter who came up with the idea of creating the platform while recuperating for about a year from health issues. The goal is to arm firefighters with life and psychological tools to help them perform their jobs safely.

“When your life, as you know it, is stripped away from you, you have two choices: let it beat you or let it inspire you. I chose the path of inspiration and that path let me to creating Crackyl Magazine,” he says on the title’s website.

Crackyl is available by subscription on its website.
