New survey on diversity, inclusion in magazines
 
The Alberta Magazines Publishers Association and the Magazine Association of B.C. 
are partnering to administer a Canada-wide survey on diversity, inclusion and equity in the magazine industry.

The survey is being conducted in English and French with magazine publishing companies and individuals across Canada including owners, publishers, staff, contractors and freelancers. 

 

 

The survey with gather information on:
(i) how diverse and inclusive the magazine industry is
(ii) the challenges that magazine organizations face in becoming more diverse, inclusive and equitable
(iii) the strategies that organizations have implemented to become more diverse, inclusive and equitable

The results of the survey will be shared with members of national and provincial magazine associations. Individual responses will be kept confidential and only aggregate data will be reported.

The survey can be completed in approximately 15 minutes and will be open until Feb. 19, 2021. Results will be distributed by summer 2021.
