BLD Publications reaches a milestone
With the release of the November issues of Les Débrouillards, Les Explorateurs, DébrouillArts et Curium, BLD Publications will have created, produced and printed over 500 magazines in Québec.

 
The first of the education-based publications to launch was Les Débrouillards (originally titled Je me petit-débrouille) in January 1982, followed by Les Explorateurs in 2002 and Curium last September. BLD has also published special issues including Sport Débrouillards, DébrouillArts, and Explotechno alongside its regular issues. The magazines have been able to reach over 350,000 young readers each month.

“This family of educational and scientific magazines are unique,” editor Félix Maltais said. “With Curium, our new techno-science magazine for 14-17 year olds, we assist youth from kindergarten, right to the end of secondary education with educational and fun magazines that meet their tastes and interests.”

A total of 502 magazines have been published and include:
  • 342 issues of Les Débrouillards
  • 32 special issues of Sport Débrouillards and DébrouillArts
  • 124 issues of Les Explorateurs
  • 2 special issues of Explotechno et Explomonde
  • 2 issues of Curium
