The 2017 COPA Winners
 

The 2017 COPA Awards were held at the Double Tree Hilton last week in Toronto on November 14. The 9th annual COPAs is reflective of digital publishing excellence from across the country as there were winners from British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec this year. The winners of the Best of Canada Awards was Western Magazine for Best Digital Solution, Vice News for Best Digital Content and Legion Magazine won Independent Publisher of the year.



Rogers Media and TVA Publications won the most medals with 6 each, and for the most Gold with 4 was Vice Media Canada. The MC Jennifer (JC) Villamere stated the COPA’s is a validation of what is good journalism/content online in a world of click bait, fake news and ad farms.
