Quebec magazines honoured in Grand Prix awards
Quebec magazines were honoured recently at the Grand Prix 2012, an awards ceremony hosted by the Association Quebecoise des Editeurs de Magazines (AQEM).

The annual competition aims to reward excellence in editorial content and visuals.

TVA Publications earned the best-selling magazine of the year award for its 2011 issue of 7 Jours covering Patrick Huard’s wedding that sold 107,167 copies, according to TVA.

TVA's Clin D’oeil also earned top honours in the web category, "which is a testament to the success of the strategic turnaround that TVA Publications implemented in 2011, aimed at cross-promoting the company’s brands on several platforms," noted the company.

The prize of magazine of the year was a tie, awarded to Débrouillards, a scientific magazine aimed at youth (which is celebrating its 30th anniversary), and L’actualité, the French-language counterpart of Maclean's.

Several writers and art directors were also honoured at the ceremony. Download the winners booklet from this page.
